JSC “UzGasTrade” announces a competition for the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Finance and Economics, Transformation, Strategy and Privatization.

Qualification Requirements for the Position

First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “UzGasTrade” for Finance and Economics, Transformation, Strategy and Privatization

I. Qualification requirements for candidates

  1. Higher education (according to the specialty indicated in the diploma: Finance and Credit, Accounting and Audit). Candidates holding an MBA degree will be given preference.

  2. At least three years of work experience in one or several departments related to finance, accounting and financial reporting in sectors where large state-owned enterprises operate. The candidate must also have at least five years of experience in the field of financial activities.

  3. Possession of strategic planning skills.

  4. Possession of transformation management skills.

  5. In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

  6. Ability to identify, assess and manage financial and operational risks.

  7. Understanding of project management standards and methodologies.

  8. Understanding of ERP systems.

  9. Experience of cooperation with international audit and consulting companies of the “Big Four”, as well as possession of professional certificates such as CIMA, ACCA, CFA or CIA, will be considered an advantage.


II. The candidate is expected to:

  • conduct a comprehensive analysis of the financial condition of the enterprise and develop a plan to improve its financial sustainability and stability;

  • within two months, submit to the Supervisory Board a detailed report and conclusions on the current financial condition of the enterprise, along with proposals for improving key financial indicators;

  • review the human resource capacity of the financial service structural units and develop proposals for strengthening them;

  • develop a program for attracting long-term and low-cost financial resources from international markets and monitor its implementation;

  • monitor the implementation of the business plan and ensure transparent reporting to the governing bodies;

  • develop strategic and operational financial plans, including long-term and short-term forecasts;

  • manage liquidity (liquidity planning and monitoring);

  • introduce practices for evaluation of investment projects and identification of priority investments;

  • organize accounting in accordance with IFRS and introduce the practice of preparing periodic financial statements based on IFRS.


The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Regulation on the procedure for conducting a competition and selecting candidates for the positions of Chairman of the Management Board and his deputies of JSC “UzGasTrade”, published on the official website www.uzgastrade.uz.
