JSC "UzGasTrade" performs the following functions:
Purchase of natural gas as the sole state operator from producers in the republic at prices approved by the Interdepartmental Tariff Commission and from external sources through import in a centralized manner.
Sale of natural gas to consumers connected to JSC "Hududgazta'minot" and the main gas transmission system under direct contracts, including on the basis of a single exporter, except for cases stipulated by the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Attract private investment in the gas sector and introduce social gas consumption standards to protect the rights of socially vulnerable groups.
